Ah, eleventh grade—the year that I loved to hate. This was the year I played basketball. It was the year I starting getting involved in stuff like CIA and National Honor Society. Actually, it was the only year I did stuff like that, because when twelfth grade rolled around, I stopped doing those things because I realized they sucked. This was the year that I really went picture crazy, so bear with it. Like all the school pictures on this site, the captions were written during the time period that the pictures were taken in, so if something sounds dated, it probably is. I left everything as-is to preserve the nostalgia. 11th Grade Year
This is me in front of my locker. Look at my hair. That is crazier than it has ever been. I would get in trouble so fast if I did it that way now that the school knows I'm a frequent dress code violator.
Jeremiah and my main man, Corty. They sit across from me at lunch.
Though Palua Kenalia sunk into the depths of the sea at the end of last year, it's inhabitants, for the most part, have survived. The Queen is pictured here. It's been rough since we fled the kingdom last May, but we all seem to be coping with it in our own ways. Jon and I are just getting used to life without the responsibility of running a country, much less one at war. Jessica is still alive, though she doesn't show herself much anymore. I assume the calculator hermit went down with his island. As for Dave, we never heard from him again.
Meghan, Katie, and a cup.
I would have preferred to be in Mr. Flores's seventh period Bible class instead of the fourth period one I was in.
Amie and Melissa smiling rather exuberantly.
Candyce is cool because she not only understands the plight I am in by not having my own mode of transportation, but she is also in it herself.
Carty is almost as sad as I am that this school year is coming to an end.
Kyle and Señor enjoy a game of chess. Looks like F3 is in trouble.
The two love birds stare wistfully into the camera lens.
The gentle giant has found his true calling in life: professional teddy bear.
Second period weight training class. We worked out for the first few months of the year, then decided that we liked the idea of sitting around talking much more.
This is Mrs. Snyder's fourth period study hall. Over half the people pictured here are visiting from another class.
Me too, Eric. Me too...
Grace never usually sat across from me at lunch, but she happened to on this last full day school for this year. Consequently, I took her picture.
Grant and Ashley P. pose for what is probably the best picture I got that day.
Katie has this picture thing figured out, but Ashley looks a little confused.
A very sweet shot of Kyle on the cabinet in Mr. Flores's room.
Angie and Lindsay.
Don't hate Nate because he's beautiful.
I finally managed to stop Nygaard for a quick picture. He looked a little busy, but he was happy to oblige.
Paul. Need I say more?
It's a little blurry, but this is a pretty good depiction of sixth period history class. It was never normally this disheveled. Miss Mullins ran a moderately tight ship. With the exception of Jon, Erica, and Elliott, though, this is pretty much where everyone was located for the second semester of America History.
Sarah is sporting some mighty pretty flowers and a cute smile.
Fifth period math was nice this year. It was sort of my contemplation period for the day. Whatever problems were on my mind at the time usually received the most thought during this class. I would have much rather been in a class like last year's fifth period math class, which contained myself and five other students.
After being reduced to mere toilet literature by a shadowy visitor to Jon and Jer's fourth period study hall, this volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica was christened "The Porcelain Edition".
Second period weight lifting is all cleaned up. It was a good year. Jon, Coach, and Grant chat idly in wait for this class's final bell while Sarah looks on. As the time drew closer for the end of this class, Jon, Carty, and I went to the center of the room, placed our hands together, wished each other well, and walked down the stairs into the remainder of this last full day of school for the 2002-2003 year.
